Speaker: Dr. Jinsong Zhao

Jinsong Zhao is the founder and President of Lorentz Solution, Inc. Lorentz Solution, Inc, with many years of steady and profitable growth, provides the most advanced electromagnetic design platform for IC and 3DIC designs, with breakthrough 3D fullwave DC-mmWave-TeraHz capability. Before Lorentz, Jinsong spent about 5 years at Cadence Design Systems and one year at Bell Labs. Jinsong received BS/MS from Tsinghua University at Beijing and PhD at UC Santa Cruz. He also has an MBA from UC Berkeley. Jinsong has 5 US patents in the area of EM simulations and RF designs.

 

Subject: 3D fullwave EM synthesis/optimization and sign-off for the new silicon photonics time

Abstract: 
Due to current massive data and computing power needed for AI and data processing, silicon photonics is seeing rapid new development for the new requirements. TeraHz EM is one key element in the silicon photonics that traditionally rely on traditional physics tools, experience and expensive tests-based tuning. Peakview has been addressing these new requirements with its TeraHz-capable 3D fullwave EM engine to provide the most efficient EM synthesis/optimization and the most reliable 3D EM sign-off accuracy. Other notable capabilities as part of new silicon photonics design include interactive electromigration check, de-embedding for silicon measurement/characterization, physics-based modeling, and the integration with TSMC COUPE flow.
